John K. Herrin III,Belle Plaine, Kansas
I would like to enter the contest. I was introduced to your web site
last November by another racer. I have always wanted to build my 'dream' track.
I have always had the track but wasn't in much of a hurry, until your contest
gave me incentive. I built the table over Thanksgiving, three 4' x 8' linked
together to form a shape of a 'T'. Over Christmas I started the landscaping,
and it's been non stop ever since. I am not quite done with everything I have planed,
but I had to enter your contest (THANKS!)
I created THREE tracks on one table, one bridge, two tunnels, a 5" inch drop in
elevation on the road course, a 10" drop on the Oval with a +45 degree embankment,
over 300 trees, and countless other goodies, such as fences, home made Pits and decals,
and my favorite the camera suspended by a crane over the road course!

The main track (THE VIPER!) runs the entire length of the three tables.
It has been measured at 64' of racing length. The Viper is a 4 lane road course.
It has a 9' back straight a way and a 19' front straight way. In between the two
straight is what I call the snake pit. Lots and lots of turns. This works great for races,
all the turn marshals but one are at one end of the track thus limiting the number of marshals I need.
The other end of the Viper runs through two tunnels into the infield of the NASCAR stadium and forming a 'U'.

The stadium is made of styro foam (so is the entire floor of the VIPER) and as I mentioned
a 45 degree plus embankment raising 14" at its highest point in turns 2 and 4, and
slopping down ward in turns 1 and 3 providing a flat front straight. It resides on the
North 4 x 8 that shapes the top of the "T".

The third and final piece is a two lane squeezed in between the Oval and the Viper.
It is the most challenging since is so small (16' in total length), has two hair pin curves
and 4 of the Tommy 'S'. I refer to this track as the 'Driving School for Vipers",
with 12 different Dodge Vipers available to choose from.

I understand I can only enter one track, and not being sure if three tracks in one
count as one etc. etc. I would like to pick my ONE track to enter the contest as the 64 foot "VIPER".
