Mike Antonson and Jim Pacenti
Hello frank, we are a club of racers located in Easton Pa. We have our
roots in ho, we made the switch to 1/32 last march. We spent a lot of time
in the planning stages of this track. All members have helped in the building
of this track, with special help from Jim and myself. The track is titled
twin rivers raceway. We started with tracker 2000 planner and laid it
out equal in length for all 6 lanes. Total length being 112 feet,.
We used all carrerra track, we removed all white lines from the track,
as real tracks do not use them. We also changed the aprons to red and white stripes
and sand runoffs, all done for realism. the layout is on 12 sheets of 3/4 plywood covered
with 1/2 sheetrock for sound deading. Finally we covered it all with green felt.
We use a rivergate transformer that's either 13.5 or 14.1(switchable) volts with 30 amps.
Track mate is used as a pc based racing control system. There are 8 racing positions
each with their own control panel (forward or reverse, brakes on or off) and pc monitor.
All lane changing is done at the main terminal along with all race programming.
We spent alot of time laying out all the buildings so as not to obstruct anyone's view.
This was done by putting in all the elevation changes. Everything on this layout is
handmade.(except the people). A lot of loving care went into this track. We race tues, thru, sun.
I hope you enjoy the photos.
