I think that the contest idea is great!! It shows the interest in the
hobby is growing. I have attached 11 photos of my track for your
contest, I hope that is not too many as my track has many things that I
would like to show.
Info: The track is a four lane scalextric 1/32 scale on a table
measuring 18 ft by 11 foot. Each lane is powered by a car battery with
three power tap positions to keep the power steady around the entire
track. There are four drivers stations using Parma 30 OHM controllers
with a built in fuse link to prevent blowing the controller. The scenery
is a combination of SRA, scalextric and MRRC. The pit building were
built as replicas of the SRA for about 1/10th the cost. I cant even
guess how many hours are in the figure painting. The lap timer is yet to
be hooked up as I am short one part for my computer, it will be DS lap
timer with a 21 inch computer screen. The track is very fast as the
corners are standard inside lane with outer lanes as a minimum. The car
of choice is FLY as I have over 120 cars and growing in my collection.
