Hello, Frank Please add my 1/32 track to your contest
Welcome to Grandpa's Speedway!

This track was built to pass on the fun and excitement of home based
slot racing to my Grand Children. The youngsters range from 4 to 7
years of age. By providing cars that coincide with there age ("cars
they can see going around the track while still at good speeds to
de-slot") and a drive-able fun track, they have become slot
enthusiasts already.
The Track
Is a hand routed , three lane, with copper tape, appox. 48ft
of racing,14 volts with separate power to each lane, 3 power taps
per lane, wood is from scrap 3/4" Particle Board, 5/8" Plywood, and an
old Kitchen Cabinet Door.
Track Base
Wood from our old King size Waterbed and an old wooden work bench.
Track Surface
Latex Porch and Deck Paint (2 coats), Third coat with Shark Bite
additive. (This will allow any kind of tire from silicone,
sponge to old hard tires to work very well and still have Drift in
the corners).
Trees -
Real tree sticks, Dowel Rod, Shredded Foam, Furnace Filter,
Lynchen, Seasonal mini - Christmas trees.
Mts. & Hills
Plaster Cloth, Plaster of Paris, White Trash Bags,
Styrofoam, real River Rocks, Foam Board.
Structures -
Are all scratch built - with Card board, Foam Board,
PETG Plastic, Coat hanger and left over Shower Paneling.
People -
Old Strombecker men, MRRC people, Mini-Babies (hobby
Lobby), Cake Top Decorations and Army men all hand
painted.
Fencing -
Foam Board, Old Strombecker Fencing, Masonite and PolyGal
light covering.
Grass & Shrubs -
Woodland Scenes Grass, Lynchen, Course Ground and
real Spanish Moss and Dried Field weeds, Paint.
Lighting -
8'ft Rope light under top Straightaway
Track Features
9ft and 10ft Straight-aways, Up Hill essexs, Hairpin, Narrows,
Dogleg, Big Sweeping Turn and a Landscape Wall Mural.
Things to be Completed
Add a lap counter, lots more cars and spectators
That's about it, except for it is a fun track to drive, with lots of
Racing in a Small area.
