Hi Frank,
Here are some pictures of my hometrack NECKCHEESE INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY.
The track units are vintage Fleischmann track (same size as Ninco)and
I have used copper tape to improve current pickup.
The track is far from finished, but I keep adding things to it when I have the time.
My idea is to create a late 1960's type of racing environment and the mass of
1960's car coming from Fly, Ninco and others helps me create this illusion.
Buildings are mostly scratchbuilt, mixed with a few Scalextric items.
The landscape is polyurethane foam and plaster of paris.
Trees are made from dried moss (model railway stuff) and twigs.
A few are old Britains trees with moss. The barriers are ABS
plastic with hard foam padding behind the advertising boards, which has been on my ink-jet printer.
The lenght is ca.19 meters, with only 13 cms difference between two two lanes.
The counter is a Scalextric unit being coupled to a modified mechanic
Fleischmann counter track. An electronic system with PC program is in planning.
Power is switchable between 13 and 14 Volt with 5-7 Amps. The lower voltage is used with the faster Fly cars (without magnet).
