Welcome to my Canadian Grand Prix
in spectacular Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
The circuit set-up is made up from two 4' x 6', plus one 4' x 8' sheets of
plywood.
Using 55 pieces of vintage 60's Strombecker track featuring a 14'
straightaway.
Many of the fences are custom made with drilled posts into the wood table
top base.
The extended track edging is created using black foam "HO" scale train track
bedding
and Celluclay for a concrete look in the corners.
The pit building and accessories are scratch built along with some of the
grand stands.
The track is populated by over two hundred hand painted scalextric and
monogram people.
The scenery is created using traditional model train hobbiest techniques
with spray glued
sifted grass and chicken wire & paper maché mountain area, sending the cars
on a
twisty elevation change. The sky in this area is hand painted with added
airbrushed clouds.
Graphics around the track are created on computer and printed out on a
standard
colour printer using glossy paper.
Happy Racing,
