Kenneth D McCloud Seattle Wa.
Hello.
This is McCloud's Raceway! The 140 ft Carrera track is built for pure
speed and heads up racing action. The track is powered by a 0 to 40 volt
DC supply at 60 amps! This allows me and my friends to run everything from
the elite commercial track wing cars to anything in the 1/32nd class, we
mostly run 1/32 Fly cars, 1/24 hardbody Nascar, and 1/24 4 1/2 inch Flex
cars and rebuilt Carrera cars! (see pictures.)
The track is Velcroed to the floor at each support pillar, this track has
not been moved in two years. Ten power taps insure even power from
anywhere on the track! Timing and lap counting accomplished by a Trik Trax
box. The overhead light bar was made from a Carrera overhead time clock.
Light sensors have been placed in the track.
The standard three prong setup allows you to use your own controller. The
longest straight is a blistering 25 ft long. Sense I run 5 difference
types of cars I have 5 difference records for each car class. Example: for
Fly mod the record is 4. 256 at 19 volts of power, Carrera's are the
slowest at 9 seconds per lap at 20 volts!
The reason I sent you alot of car pictures is because I wanted show that I
run everything on this track! I'm not sure which pictures you will use for
the track but I'll leave that up to you. That wiring job took about two
weeks to trim everything out. Thanks for having the contest!!!
