BUILDING A SIMPLE TABLE FOR YOUR TRACK LAYOUT
STEP 1
Building a 4' x 8' track table is a fairly easy project if you use screws to put together.
1. You will need screws, one 4' x 8' sheet of plywood, and 7 x 8' long 2" x 4" boards.
(if you decide you want side skirts or background board you will have to obtain these supplies also, 1" x 4" pine board works best 8' long 4 of these)
2. Cut the frame boards to form a 4' x 8' frame with 2 center boards then assemble with screws we used #8 2 1/2" philips screws

3. Cut the legs out of the other 2" x 4" boards making them all the same length
around 36" long or shorter if you have little guys racing, the height of the table
will be about belly button high on a grown man ( if you are going to use stools to
race, sit on one of them and see what height you are most comfortable at)

4. Screw legs on using the same screw you assembled frame with using
as many screws needed to make sturdy. Make sure as you assemble , table is level.

5. Next place 4' x 8' sheet of plywood on and screw on using 1" screws.

6. Ok now lay track on table to see how it sits on the table, in this case
it is a Artin 6 lane 1/32 oval.

7. You will be surprised how sturdy of a table this is, only 4' x 8' space requirement
( you may not want to stand on it but for leaning on and racing it is great)
also if you want to make it longer or wider all you do is add a 2" x 4" on to ends
or to sides up to 2 x , will add around 1 3/4"each time put them level so you
dont have to add plywood. Table is real light for moving also.
