please accept my entry for the HO slot car competition.
Here are the details:
The body of this Cobra 427 was bought at Road Race Replicas and
the following modifications were made. I customized the 4 point roll bar
and made it a three point roll bar just like the original classic Cobra had.
I also drilled out the exhaust pipe and gave it a little more detail,
the blue paint was actual metallic ford blue paint as used on the
Carol Shelby Cobra and I also removed and replaced the rear tail lights
because the original tail lights were very poor and were not level.
In the front of the car I also built up the turn signals and added the
racing head lamp cover as per IMSA regulations. The upper hood scoop
above the carburetor had to be carved out to make it more life like and
I gave the car a good clear coat of paint to protect it from any possible
road debri while racing over the Autobahn.
