PRESTON JENNINGS
What you are looking at is the new Chevrolet SSR pickup in 1/32 scale.
This model was made by Boley and is a metal diecast body with plastic chassis.
I installed a front mounted Playfit Cheetah with a "transmission" the picture is
a bit blurred but what I've done was use a 9t inline pinion on the motor with a 13t
sidewinder pinion right below the motor pinion thus allowing a solid drive shaft
all the way in perfect alignment to the crown. This allowed the motor to be mounted
flat using a Proslot in-line chassis carriage. By cutting the rear axle section off
I had a perfect motor mount and rear end from a single part. The drive shaft is
held in place by a motor bearing in the front and two bearings at the rear.
The added weight (7.1oz) helped with the finicky nature of the Cheetah but
there is a penalty in the curves. Then again this is a truck and I built it for the pure fun of it.
p.s Let me know if you got this with out problems thank you for the chance to enter.
