The contest is a great way to see the level of artistry there is out there.
I've included pics of my modified Scalextric F300 open wheel conversion project:
A Ferrari LM 250. Here are some specifics on the project:
Airfix model body. Heavily-modified (chopped 3/4" out, shaved down some innards)
Scalextric F300 chassis and motor. Trimmed Ninco axles 1/4". Ninco classic wheels
and running gear. Professor Motor decals. Ninco driver body w/ Fly Class driver head.
No magnet. Real grille front and back! Runs rather sweetly. Fast too!
