Hi there,
The car is based on a SMER 1912 Packard Landaulet 1/32 static kit, and uses
a chassis from a Scalextric JPS single seater. The chassis is stretched to
fit and bonded to a fibreglass base plate for strength. The front axle runs
in Scalextric plastic bushes in a scratch built front end. The body is
kicked up at the rear and modified to clear the motor. I've added a driver
based around a chopped up Scalextric standing spectator, exposed engine and
pipes, plus glass as the kit was not glazed. The lights work front and
rear using LEDs, the fronts were tricky as I had to bore out the kit lights
and make lenses. The car runs a standard Scalextric can motor and runs
pretty well, with good grip thanks to brand new soft slicks.
The Rolls Royce pickup in the third picture was built by a friend of mine
and runs twin motors.
Keep it in the slot!
