Hi Frank
Here is my entry for your competition.
This car started out life as a proslot Toyota.
When I discovered decals from Patto's - and yourselves
- of the Bentley Exp Speed 8, I decided to try and
convert the Toyota. They were both penned by the same
designer, so on the outside, they have a similar
shape.
Major external Differences - Central rear wing vs the
side supported Toyota wing, different front and side
air ducts as well as front running board on the
Bentley.
I used a Fly Porsche rear wing. I filled in all the
side vents with putty, and then added the Naca ducts
in front of the rear wheels, and the air vents behind
the front wheels.I also filled in the Air vents on the
front of the car, just leaving the small portion open
as per the Bentley design.Sprayed the car matt white,
and once itwas dry, sprayed it British Racing Green. I
also added screen behind the front ducts.I then added
the decals - a major job in itself.
The chassis has a second fairly low power magnet added
behind the crown gear which gives it just enough
downforce and stability. I used Ninco rear
gears, bearings, and Mercedes DTM wheels painted black.
I replaced the front stubb axle with a full length
ninco axle, as well as putting on an MRRC front guide.
All in all goes well.
